Help, my credit card has a maximum spending cap in certain categoriesThis is incredibly common, especially with the best deals.  

First, be alert, and next: be aware. The objective is to maximize, whenever possible, without exceeding the limit, or spending cap. Perhaps you’ve heard the term “juicing” tossed around. It’s a great metaphor for squeezing as much as possible from a particular deal.

Hint: If the category is, for example, home improvement, and you’re planning to make future purchases in that category soon, but not immediately; consider buying gift cards from a qualifying home improvement store. You’ll earn cash back, and have the gift cards for later use. This thinking can be applied to most of the everyday spending categories. Void where prohibited. Continue reading here.
